Westlake Ace Hardware to Open Store in Rancho Santa Margarita

When open, the new store will be Westlake Ace’s 23^rd location in the state and the retailer’s second location in Orange County.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 9, 2024) – Westlake Ace Hardware announced today it has signed an agreement to open a new store in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. Ace Hardware of Rancho Santa Margarita will be Westlake Ace’s second location in Orange County; a store in Placentia opened in July 2024.

The new store will be located at 31541 Santa Margarita Pkwy. (former site of RiteAid pharmacy) and will feature approximately 18,000 sq. ft. of retail space. Renovations to the space will start in early 2025, with an opening in summer 2025.

Westlake Ace owns and operates 19 California Ace Hardware locations, including nine in Southern California: Glendale, La Crescenta, Placentia, Porter Ranch, Simi Valley, South Pasadena, Thousand Oaks, Van Nuys, and West LA. The retailer is developing locations in Northern and Southern California, including Agoura Hills and Mission Hills.

In addition to selling lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies, Ace Hardware of Rancho Santa Margarita will feature many leading brands:

• Big Green Egg, Blackstone, Traeger, and Weber grills and accessories
• Cookware and bakeware, kitchen utensils and gadgets, specialty gourmet foods and more
• Craftsman, DeWalt, and Milwaukee power tools
• Diablo saw blades and power tool accessories
• Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints
• EGO, Milwaukee, and Stihl outdoor power equipment
• Scotts and Miracle-Gro lawn and plant care products
• Yeti coolers and accessories

The new store will include a nursery, selling such items as plants, flowers, succulents, shrubs, pottery, and outdoor living supplies. It will also offer key cutting, automotive key fob replacement, Stihl outdoor power equipment repair, carpet cleaning machine rental, and a propane tank exchange.
