What is a voltage tester? How do I use it?
A voltage tester is an inexpensive tool that could save your life. Depending on the model, you simply plug the voltage tester into a receptacle or touch a screw terminal on the faceplate of a receptacle or switch. If an electrical current is running through the receptacle/switch, the voltage tester will either register volts on its meter, light up or both (depending on the model).
Find the right voltage tester to fit your needs.
