Cranberry Kicker Cocktail by Megan Day
Megan Day’s Cranberry Kicker Ingredients:
- 1 Cup brown sugar
- 2 limes, juiced
- 3 cups 100% cranberry juice
- Sauce pan
- Jar
Place all ingredients into a sauce pan and simmer for one to two hours over low heat.
Stir on occasion. Once the sauce starts to stick to the back of the spoon, cool and transfer to a jar.
TIPS:
You can substitute white sugar, the taste and color will be lighter.
Make ahead and keep remaining syrup in refrigerator.
The longer you simmer the juice the more thick it will become.
Try adding this festive syrup to a Gin and Tonic, an Old Fashion, or a lemon lime soda.
Be aware, this may stain your jar.
