Ella Scott, head cashier at Westlake Ace Hardware in Wichita, Kan., is widely known as a giving person. In fact, she sometimes just can’t help herself. While Christmas shopping recently, she found a deal on socks, hats, and gloves that was just too good to pass up. Scooping up 100 of each, Ella and store manager Mike Thornton purchased and distributed the cold weather supplies to people standing outside a local shelter waiting to receive a warm meal.
“It’s not often you see someone as giving as Ella. She is the true catalyst behind what we do and is always looking for ways to help out in the community,” said Mike Thornton, Westlake Ace general manager. To hear more about Ella’s giving spirit, watch this short video.
