Sweet n’ Spicy Jalapeno Poppers Ingredients:

  • 6 Jalapeño peppers
  • 12 ounces cream cheese
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 tbsp Uhh-Huh! or Zowie! Rub, divided
  • 6 slices Bacon
  • Parmesan-Reggiano Cheese

Sweet and Spicy Jalapeno Poppers with Loud Mouth BBQ Rub

PREP & COOK TIME: 50 MINUTES

Sweet n’ Spicy Jalapeno Poppers Prep and Cooking Instructions:

1. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise. With a spoon, remove the ribs and seeds.

2. In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and 2 tablespoons of Loudmouth’s Uhh-Huh! or Zowie! rub.

3. Fill the jalapeño halves with the cream cheese mixture.

4. Sprinkle the filled jalapeños with the remaining rub and top with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

5. Slice the bacon in half lengthwise, then wrap a bacon strip around each popper.

Cook the bacon wrapped sweet and spicy jalapeno poppers over indirect heat in a smoker or on a grill.

6. Prepare the grill or smoker for indirect-low heat (200° to 250°F).

7. Place poppers on the grill, lower the lid and cook over indirect heat until the bacon has rendered and the cheese heated through, approximately 40 to 50 minutes.
