White BBQ Sauce Chicken Sliders by Meat Mitch

Pitmaster Mitch Benjamin has created a myth surrounding his tastes and techniques that has spread pretty quickly through the KCBS competition circuit. Mitch makes some of competition BBQ’s highest rated sauces, and since he always likes to be busy, created four BBQ concept restaurants open in the Kansas City metropolitan area, Char Bar Smoked Meats & Amusements in the northland and midtown areas, and Meat Mitch in the south end of town and also a location in the KCI Airport.

Mitch Benjamin, owner and proprietor of Kansas City's Meat Mitch BBQ restaurants, rubs and sauces.

He is also frequently called in to cook special post-game meals for teams of pro athletes, so we asked him for the perfect BIG GAME DAY appetizer that will make an impression, and he definitely delivered. These chicken sliders will keep your guests coming back and the cool drinks flowing until the big game is officially over.

Preheat oven, grill or smoker to 350F

Add the cream cheese and Meat Mitch White Sauce to chicken in a bowl. Add 1 cup of cheddar and stir well to combine. Stir in green onion until well mixed.

Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a 9×13 baking dish. Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the rolls.

Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar. Place the top halves of the rolls over the top.

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, Whomp! Rub and parsley.

Pour the sauce over the tops of the sliders, letting it run down the sides to coat the top and sides of the sliders.

Cover with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 5-10 minutes more to brown the tops of the rolls.
